About Mel

Mel has over 20 years of Pharma leadership experience, including roles with two of the top ten Global Pharmaceutical companies. With ten years leading at an executive level, he has delivered significant company growth through successful product launches, business development and changes in R&D strategy. He has a track record of leading robust and executable HTA, pricing and access strategies in a broad range of therapeutic areas, across UK, European and Global markets.

A firm believer in patient-focused, evidence-based approaches, Mel has a strong preference for diverse, multi-cultural environments that value people, creativity and growth. He has a clear vision for the future of healthcare that enables companies to navigate key trends and implement strategies that deliver tangible outcomes in the future as well as the present.

Mel established BioPharma Futures in 2020 to support small Biotech and Digital Health companies in developing products that are viable for global launch, partnering or acquisition. He also holds various strategic advisory roles and board positions.

I love spending time with my family (Laura and Arlo, a very active 2 year old), regular exercise, reading, exploring new places, and most water and snow sports.

I am co-founder and trustee of the Just Living Foundation, a charity supporting basic human needs such as clean water, sanitation, food and essential medicines.
